Vintage Bluenose Schooner Wood Ship Model Sailboat Kit 3/16 Scale 27" Hull 1940 This is what appears to be a very old model kit of the famous Bluebose Schooner of Lunenberg Nova Scotia. The hull itself is one solid piece of maple, is almost 27 inches long, and weighs more than 2.5 lbs. Comes with large blueprints in three sheets that are copies of hand-drawn plans dated 1940. Drawn by H.W. Potter. They are very detailed. Inside the box is what I assume are all the pieces of wood, although there are parts of the plans that specify fabricating certain things out of wood, or plywood. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. Also comes with a fittings kit that has all the tiny detailed pieces you would need to finish it. Inside the box are also a checklist of the wood parts, and the fittings with everything checked off. Comes as well with many small spools of rigging and decals. I'm not sure if everything is here. There is a ton here, and this is an extremely difficult model, seemingly built just from the blueprints. Probably only for model ship building masters. According to the price sheet it looks like the whole set cost just under $120 when new many, many decades ago. I'm happy to try and answer any questions. Will ship out quickly.
