2 Rare Rca Uss Ticonderoga Cg47 Aegis Missile System Cardboard Ship Model Kit

Up for sale is this Lot of 2 Rare RCA USS Ticonderoga CG47 Aegis Missile System Cardboard Ship Model Kits. These 2 model kits were made by RCA Missile and Surface Radar company, showcasing The First AEGIS guided missile cruiser which is the USS Ticonderoga CG47.  These kits were made in the early 1980's (1982 I believe).  They are a large flip-book with the cardboard/paperboard parts of the model on each page.  The parts are perforated for easy cut out with an Exacto knife or razor blade.  Once the parts are carefully cut out they can be assembled together with glue.  Each book measures 15 inches long by 11 inches tall.  I do not know how big the actual model is or what scale it is as it does not say anywhere in the books.  The first book pictured is in great condition.  It has some wear on the corners/edges and some wear on the front and back covers.  There are no rips, tears or  major discoloration.  Each of the pieces in the first book are still connected in place, a couple pieces might have part of them "popped out" of the perforations but only part of the piece is loose, the ones that are a little loose are still connected into the book and not ripped or torn. The second model kit pictured is the same size.  This one does have more wear then the first one and does have a half inch tear on the edge (binding area) about half way down, you can see it in the picture.  There is some wear on the corners and edges and wear and some discoloration (a yellowing type staining).  The parts in it are in good shape and have no rips or tears, a few pieces are only partially popped out.  I figure this 2nd book is good to use for spare parts for the first model kit but this one could still be made into a model. These are rare model kits and they were a limited release from RCA.  They are an interesting military model collectible that would make a great addition to any collection.  I have not seen any of these on Ebay since I have had them for a few years.  They were obtained from an estate of someone who was in the United States Navy, these were likely given as gifts but I am not 100% sure of that.
