If I was to guess, I would say that at the model shop, someone sliced open the box of new models, and slit too deep and sliced the box, BUT...the contents inside are still SEALED, UNOPENED. Even still has the 1/2 of the shrink wrap on the box. Item is complete with decals and instructions. See pics for details.
