Super rare 1965 AURORA model kit of The FROG, a Castle Creature original kit. This was one of two kits that were a collaboration between Aurora and William Castle, based on his novelty greeting card art of the time. William Castle is best known as a Hollywood writer, director and producer, notably for releasing a series of horror film which included "gimmicks' to interact with the theatre audience.
The FROG and The VAMPIRE were released for 1 year only and never reissued. The FROG is the rarest of them all.
It is a beautiful model kit, molded in AURORA's Creature From The Black Lagoon green color. This kit is 100% complete and in stunning condition overall. Plastic parts are clean. The box is amazing, with bright clean colors, no fading, no splits and only minor wear. Original instructions are super nice as well. A very rare kit to find in beautiful condition.
